An eye examination at eMed Eyecare is more than reading letters off a chart. Our optometrist measures your exact prescription, checks the pressure inside your eyes and looks at the back of the eye, where problems such as glaucoma and diabetic eye disease first show up. You leave knowing what you need and why.
What's included
- Vision test for distance and near on a backlit chart
- Refraction to find your exact prescription
- Eye pressure check (intraocular pressure)
- Examination of the front of the eye and the retina
- A clear explanation of the results and a written prescription

- Adults: every one to two years
- Anyone over 40, with diabetes or high blood pressure: every year
